What we collect
- The name and contact details you give us, such as an email address or telephone number
- What you write in an enquiry, including the vehicle requirements you describe
- Any listing links or documents you send us while a piece of research is running
- Basic technical records kept by our hosting provider when a page is requested
Why we hold it
To answer your enquiry, to prepare a scope and a fee figure, to carry out research you have commissioned, and to keep a record of the work done. Where research has been commissioned, the basis for processing is the contract between us. For an enquiry that does not lead to work, the basis is our legitimate interest in replying to it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept only as long as needed to answer them and to recognise a repeat enquiry. Records of commissioned work are kept for as long as the engagement and its records may need to be referred to.
Who else sees it
Our hosting and email providers process information on our instructions. We do not sell personal information, and we do not pass it to sellers, dealers or advertisers. Where a service provider processes information outside the United Kingdom, appropriate safeguards are relied on for that transfer.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the information held about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted where there is no continuing reason to keep it, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Write to support@selectcars-consulting.uk and we will respond within the period the law allows. If you are not satisfied with the response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
